Who the hell is Renée Pornero? Well, as the stage name “Pornero” indicates, she doesn’t have any pretensions about what she does. Since November 2001 she’s appeared in several adult films, starting out in Germany. During this time she worked briefly in the U.S., experiencing the American style of film-making, which she finds more interesting and aggressive, the way she likes to be herself. She admits she hasn’t seen a large amount of American product, but she has seen plenty of German films, and comments that in the latter, the actresses aren’t motivated to perform well, and make good movies; the only thing they’re interested in is the money. She says this is why she began her career in the industry: to prove to audiences that an actress really can feel, and transmit those feelings. If an actress  doesn’t feel anything, she says, she has to have the acting skills to convince people that she is really in ecstasy.

What turns her on the most is the camera, and she freely admits that she’s an exhibitionist. She says it’s the same as when a neighbor is spying on you – you immediately stop being yourself and become a character. Film gave her the chance to express her innermost feeling, and are the perfect outlet for her emotions. According to her, if you hide your emotions, you risk being destroyed by them.

She explains that it took her a long time to discover what really turned her on, sexually and emotionally, and although she’s found herself, she says she’s always discovering new aspects of her personality.  She says she tries out new experiences every day, to find out what she likes best.
If she has to pick between gonzo and feature-style films, she says she goes for gonzo every time, because they allow her to express more energy, in contrast to scripted movies in which she says she misses really hard sex.

Currently she’s planning to direct her own films, which would take the best aspects of gonzo with the best aspects of a scripted movie, as well as expressing her most secret fantasies.
